Attorney Allison C. G. Sutton is a former El Paso County Deputy District Attorney (DDA). She served the People of Colorado’s 4th Judicial District for several years as a DDA during which time she successfully handled a robust and challenging caseload comprised of misdemeanors, felonies, domestic violence, traffic offenses, and sexual offenses. She has extensive experience with every stage of criminal litigation including pre-trial conferences, motions hearings, mediation, and jury trials. Ms. Sutton served as a DDA in County Court, Juvenile Court, and the Juvenile Special Victims Unit (SVU), and she co-chaired multiple complex adult sex offense trials in District Court. During her time as a DDA, Ms. Sutton also served as a member of the Vehicular Assault & Homicide Team.
Prior to joining The Foley Law Firm, Ms. Sutton worked for Honeywell as a Senior Contracts Representative. In that position, she handled the negotiation and administration of complex Government contract matters as well as issues related to intellectual property, license agreements, and, most recently, commercial contracts. In 2015, Ms. Sutton decided to return to her true passion, the practice of law, in the areas of Criminal Defense and Family Law.
Ms. Sutton earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 2009. Prior to completing her J.D., Ms. Sutton earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from the University of Georgia in 2001.
