Andy Long

Born and raised in Maryville, I have always been drawn to East Tennessee, its culture and its heritage. It was during my years at Rhodes College in Memphis that I realized my calling to the legal profession. After graduation, I married my high school sweetheart, Patricia, and we both started law school at the University of Tennessee. I began my practice in a small law firm in Maryville, but soon accepted a position with the Knox County District Attorney's Office, where I became the lead DUI prosecutor.

In 1997, I decided that I wanted to get back into private practice. One of the best decisions of my career was joining Costner & Greene over fifteen years ago. I found a law firm that epitomizes my ideals of the practice of law and one that exceeds its stellar reputation. Our emphasis is on the people we represent. Because of our size, I am able to take the necessary time to get to know my clients, but at the same time being capable of handling large cases in Knox County, Blount County, and all of the surrounding counties.

Whether it is representing someone suffering from a personal injury or representing someone criminally accused, I can use my insight garnered from over twenty-four years of legal experience to help people navigate through the troubled times that they face. I have concentrated my career on trial work and litigation. I love the interaction that I get to have every day with people, whether it is with clients, other attorneys or with juries. However, over the years I have learned that in order to be an effective advocate, you first have to listen. By truly listening to my clients, I not only learn the details about their case, but I also get to know the person behind the case. It is then that I can most effectively protect their rights and interests and achieve our goals together.
