Anthony R. Friedman as counsel in a medical malpractice, personal injury complaint – In a medical malpractice case that lasted for four years wherein Friedman was lead counsel when he was with a large law firm Friedman abruptly advised client in the midst of a mediated settlement agreement conference that he was leaving the firm in a matter of a few days. Friedman failed to obtain an expert witness on behalf of client and failed to prep client prior to mediation. Friedman turned the case over to a junior associate with no prior trial experience. After Friedmans departure two colleagues advised client that Friedman was no longer with the firm because he lost 7 of 8 cases he took to trial. Friedman is now in solo practice and advertises a post office box at a UPS Store as his business address. On his website Friedman advertises large settlement and award amounts fraudulently implying that they were obtained by his solo practice. Client is now preparing a detailed an comprehensive bar complaint citing over 20 violations of professional misconduct on the part of Friedman followed by a tort complaint of legal malpractice seeking damages.
