Arturo A. Armand

Arturo began his legal career as an attorney for a large Florida law firm, representing corporations, insurance companies, hospitals and doctors. He now uses that experience and solely represents individuals injured due to the negligence of others. Arturo has served as counsel in cases involving wrongful death, medical negligence, catastrophic auto accidents, construction site accidents, and accidents on commercial properties.

Arturo was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, where he graduated second in his class. Upon graduation, Arturo enrolled at the University of Florida and was accepted into the honors program. While at the University of Florida, Mr. Armand was elected by his peers as the President of the Hispanic Student Association and as a Student Senator. In recognition of his leadership and service while an undergraduate, Mr. Armand was selected to the University of Florida Hall of Fame and was inducted into Florida Blue Key.

Arturo received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2004, with honors, and continued his studies at the University of Florida School of Law.

While in law school, Arturo was elected as Vice-President of the University of Florida student body, representing over 40,000 students in advocating for their rights before the Florida state legislature and the University of Florida administration.

Also during law school, Arturo clerked for the Administrative Judges in the Miami office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission where he assisted judges in employment discrimination matters. Arturo also worked as a summer associate at a large national law firm, working on real estate and complex commercial litigation matters.

Arturo has obtained multiple million dollar settlements arising out of catastrophic claims. Early in his career, he obtained a substantial confidential settlement for a construction worker that fell thirty feet while working at a downtown Miami high rise. In another difficult, but ultimately successful case, Arturo obtained a significant confidential settlement for an individual who had his arm amputated as a result of medical negligence.

Recently, Arturo represented a severely injured worker when the FIU bridge collapsed on March 15, 2018. The FIU bridge case was a tragic event that was reported by media outlets around the world. Arturo, working with the lawyers of the other victims, assisted in obtaining a gross settlement of over one hundred million dollars, including a substantial confidential settlement for his client.

Arturo is a member of the Florida Bar, Florida Justice Association, Miami Dade Trial Lawyers Association, and the Belen Alumni Lawyers' section. From 2008 to 2010, Arturo served on the University of Florida's Law Alumni Council. From 2012 to 2016, Arturo served on the executive board of the Belen Alumni Lawyers' Section. Arturo is also a board member and board President of Passageway Residence of Dade County, Inc., a local non-profit organization.
