Benjamin Kavanagh is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (B.S. 1998), Southern Methodist University (M.S. 2005), and Regent University School of Law (J.D. 2013). After serving 12 years in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare and Fleet Marine Force Officer and deploying to the Northern Arabian Gulf, South America, Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan, Ben left active duty to pursue a career as an attorney. Ben practices in the areas of criminal defense, domestic relations, estate planning, real estate transactions/litigation, and civil litigation. Ben, a California native, now calls Hampton Roads his home and as a former active-duty sailor and military dependent, he takes special pride in providing legal services to his active duty, reserve, retired and current and former military dependent clients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his children and is a competitive hockey player.
