A native of Hammond, Britain is a 1998 graduate of Hammond High School. He continued his education at LSU, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2003 and then earning his Juris Doctorate and Masters of Civil Law Degree from LSU Paul M. Hebert School of Law.
Britain began practicing with Rolling, Perrilloux and Sledge after being admitted to the bar in 2006. He has been a felony prosecutor with the 21st Judicial District Court District Attorney's office since 2007. He was appointed Hammond City Prosecutor in 2014.
Britain maintains a general civil litigation practice that focuses on personal injury, family law, successions, and real estate. His extensive courtroom and jury trial experience is more than beneficial.
Britain lives in Hammond and is married to Judge Erika Sledge of the 21st Judicial District Court. He attends Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Britain and Judge Sledge have two children, Coll and Everly.
