Mr. Pritchett has been practicing law for over 20 years. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University, where he was a Kimball Scholar and National Merit Scholar. He was also a Rhodes Scholar nominee. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Washington, where he was managing editor of the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal and on the Moot Court Honor Board. He also studied at Stanford University under a FLAS Fellowship. He served as a judicial extern for Judge John C. Coughenour in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington, and then served as a judicial clerk to Chief Judge George T. Shields of the Washington State Court of Appeals. He has been a frequent lecturer at seminars sponsored by IBI International, the National Business Institute, and the Utah Association for Justice, and he was CLE Director for the Utah State Bar, Solo & Small Firm Section. He is a member of the Utah State Bar, Washington State Bar (inactive), and Utah Association for Justice, where he serves on the Legislative Committee.
He obtained a 7-figure award after appeal in a serious trucking injury case, and he has obtained significant 6-figure results in other cases involving jury trial, mediation, and negotiated settlement.
In 2012 and 2013, he was named to the Utah Legal Elite (civil litigation) and was awarded the 2012 Eisenberg, Gilchrist & Cutt Trial Advocacy Award.
