Heather graduated cum laude from Western Kentucky University, earning a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Economics and Human Resource Management. After graduation, she attended Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law where she was a Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity (KLEO) scholar. Heather quickly discovered that she had a passion for using her skills to help people in vulnerable situations. This led her to begin her legal career as a public defender, where she spent six years representing indigent clients charged with anything from misdemeanor theft to capital murder. The next part of her career was spent as an Assistant Dean at her alma mater law school. In this role, she was able to guide the next generation of lawyers who would be tasked with improving our society.
