The federal False Claims Act (FCA) empowers whistleblowers to report fraud against the government and allows the whistleblower to collect 15-30% of the recovery. Michael has been litigating FCA or qui tam actions for 18 years. Michael’s successes include a $7.5M jury verdict concerning federal oil royalty fraud that resulted in a $26M settlement; an $18M settlement that resolved claims of Medicare/hospice fraud; a $6M settlement remedying gas royalty underpayments and a $4.5M settlement to resolve claims of customs fraud. Michael is a 1981 graduate from DU Law (top 15% of class) and has been actively litigating commercial and personal injury suits for the past 37 years. Michael has recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Attorneys in Colorado.
