Biography
Chad Cooper was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida, but moved to Rutherfordton, North Carolina, where he was raised. Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude from Gardner-Webb University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Chad was accepted to Elon Law School and was a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship. Upon completing his first year of law school at Elon, Chad transferred to Charlotte School of Law to be closer to home and his family. While attending law school, Chad acquired corporate legal experience through an internship with the legal department of Family Dollar. In addition, Chad provided legal services to individuals who were starting businesses through the Entrepreneurship Clinic at the Charlotte School of Law. Chad graduated in the top of his class in 2015 and passed the bar the same year. Chad also spent a significant period of time working at the Cooper Law Firm, PC where he served as an assistant to the attorney. As an attorney, Chad genuinely cares about each client. His practice is primarily focused on business law, personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation, real estate and estate planning. He is very involved in community activities, including outreach to inmates and local disaster relief. Chad is married to Lauren Cooper and together they are expecting their first child.
