Originally from Alexandria in Licking County, Ohio, Mickellea graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University, majoring in International Relations and Diplomacy. In 2020, she graduated summa cum laude from Capital University Law School, and was admitted to the Ohio Bar that same year. While at Capital, Mickellea served as the Managing Editor of the Capital University Law Review, publishing her article in 2021. Mickellea also served as a Marshall-Brennan Fellow, and clerked for the Ohio Attorney General's Office while in law school.
Mickellea is an Associate Attorney focusing her practice on civil litigation and juvenile law issues. Mickellea's civil practice includes breach of contract claims, real estate disputes, construction litigation, appeals, and other general civil litigation matters. Mickellea handles a range of juvenile law issues, including delinquency, traffic, safe harbor, and dependency cases. In her first year of practice, Mickellea has handled a wide variety of cases and has successfully represented clients in trial and on appeal.
Mickellea is a member of the Fairfield County, Columbus, and Ohio State Bar Associations. She serves on various committees with the Columbus Bar Association, and is a member of the Law and Policy Subcommittee for the Fairfield County Juvenile Dual Status Youth Initiative. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio. Mickellea resides in Canal Winchester with her partner Lia, and their dog, Nova.
