Molly Payne Pugh

Molly focuses her practice on tax and business planning, estate planning, succession planning, asset protection as well as overall business risk management. She also enjoys advising clients on corporate matters, including business formations, maintenance, and governance.

As a former small business owner, Molly's experience and legal education give her a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities today's businesses face from regulatory pressure to retaining a workforce. Prior to earning her law degree, Molly served as Executive Director for the non-profit corporation, Virginia Grain Producers Association, that advanced the public policy interests of agriculture at the state, national, and international levels. She also served as an independent consultant for campaign finance and management for candidates in the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and Virginia's General Assembly. Molly and her husband owned and operated a 2,000+ acre grain farm in Southeast Virginia for nearly two decades. Molly also worked as Executive Writer for a renowned agricultural economist for over three years. Most recently, Molly volunteered as a Board Director for the non-profit land conservation organization.

Molly completed her law degree at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was inducted into the national leadership honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa. Molly also received the prestigious James W.H. Stewart Award for her excellence in tax law. As a life-long Virginian, Molly enjoys making Virginia a better place to live and work.
