      Biography

      Chet Boudreaux, originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School in 1994 and then went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. In 2003, he received his law degree from Southern University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and obtained the Corporations Scholarship award. Chet joined McKernan Law Firm as a law clerk in 2001 and later became an Associate after passing the Bar. He is licensed to practice in all State and Federal courts in both Louisiana and Mississippi as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. His diverse practice has afforded Chet the opportunity to assist numerous injured individuals in a wide variety of cases that resulting from incidents such as trucking accidents, automobile wrecks, 18-wheeler accidents, vehicle rollovers and many more. In all of Chet’s cases, the injuries suffered by his clients resulted from the negligence of another. Some of the injured clients Chet has successfully represented have suffered from spinal cord injuries, disk damage, burns, cancer (mesothelioma), and paralysis, just to name a few. In addition, Chet has represented clients all over the State of Louisiana including areas such as Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe, Shreveport, Plaquemine, Metairie and Prairieville; as well as in areas of Mississippi such as Hattiesburg, Jackson, and Gulfport. Chet has also played a major role in handling cases in Texas and in New Jersey and has been admitted pro hac vice to practice law in courts for the States of Arkansas, Florida and Texas. A few of Chet's most notable cases include a verdict of $2,855,000 in a custom bus wrongful death case, a verdict of $1.2 Million in a rear-end 18-wheeler accident and he recently settled two 18-wheeler cases for $950,000 and $875,000 respectively. Most recently, Chet has been selected for membership in The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40 for the State of Louisiana.

      Chet is married to Shanna Green of Rayville, Louisiana, and they have two children, Grayson, age 6 and Anna Grace, age 1. They are members of St. Jude Catholic Church. Chet enjoys hunting, fishing, horse racing and coaching t-ball for his son.
