Chris W. Burks

Chris Burks concentrates his practice in family and employment law litigation.

He has represented individuals and families in a variety of matters including child and adult guardianships, adoptions, custody and visitation disputes, child support cases, divorces with business valuation issues, as well as breaches of fiduciary duties in probate.

He also has experience representing employees and businesses in breach of contract disputes, and labor law matters involving misclassification, minimum wage, overtime and ‘off-the-clock’ violations.

Mr. Burks represents the Firm determination and work-ethic through his strong community leadership and “behind the scenes” know-how cultivated through clerkships with two Arkansas judges (Honorable Susan Hickey of the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas and the Honorable Rhonda Wood of the Arkansas State Circuit Court, Twentieth Judicial District), and political staffer positions on both the state and national levels.

Mr. Burks also served as an Arkansas Delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention and was instrumental in bringing the important 2014 voting rights case of Pulaski County Election Commission v. Arkansas State Board of Elections.
