James B. Dobbs

Attorney James served Central Ohio in private practice for more than 40 years. He retired in 2022.

He provided free legal counsel and services to his church that he helped start, Dublin Baptist Church, the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio, The Metro Columbus Baptist Association and Baptist churches all over the state of Ohio. He has served as a Trustee at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Foundation and the Southern Baptist Convention Foundation. He served on the Executive Council, Property and Space Team and Mission Team at his church and is an ordained deacon. He also served on the Administrative Committee of the Metro Columbus Baptist Association and on the Board of Directors of the Stowe Mission of Central Ohio which is an inner city ministry.
