I have been in private practice since my admission to the Bar, and have focused my practice in appellate advocacy, research, writing, administrative law, civil rights, and personal injury law. From 1990 to 1996 I was the host of "Law Talk", a radio show about the law on KARN Radio. I used to write a regular column for the Arkansas Trial Lawyers' Association's publication, The ATLA Docket, "Significant Tort Decisions". I was the Institute Chair for the Arkansas Bar Association's Appellate Advocacy Institute in 1996 and 1997, and most recently again in 2015. I have lectured at many other continuing legal education programs on the subjects of appellate advocacy, insurance law, social security disability, and legal writing. I have also lectured at many continuing education courses for secretaries and paralegals. I have been practicing law since 1983. I have written the briefs for over 100 reported cases on appeal.
