James Gardner

For more than 20 years Jim Gardner has been helping Ohio's injured workers get the treatment they need to heal and ultimately, return to work. Over the years he has has served as an both educator and counselor helping to guide his clients through the Ohio Workers Compensation system.

For Jim, helping clients means more than just navigating complicated legalize. It means getting to know his clients in order to help them find the treatment and the resources they need to return to the life they lived before the injury occurred. He has managed thousands of client hearings before the Industrial Commission and hundreds of client court appearances. He prides himself on his reputation for resolving issues and solving client problems as opposed to endless fighting in court.

Along with his extensive experience helping Ohio Workers Jim also brings experience from all sides of the court. His past experience includes work in the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Washington, representing a large defense firm and other employers in workers compensation matters. He has a deep understanding of the issues his clients face and knows how to work with employers and others to reach a resolution.

Jim is a graduate of The Ohio State University, received his law degree from Case Western Reserve and studied at Magdalen College at Oxford University in England. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Texas and is a member of the Akron Bar Association and the Ohio Bar Association.

When he's not helping his clients resolve their worker's compensation issues Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is a passionate advocate for children with Down Syndrome and other mental and physical disabilities. Jim volunteers with a number of organizations including Up Side of Downs, Special Olympics, and Miracle Baseball. Through his church he works with abused children and African Sky which builds schools in Africa.
