James J. McNally

James J. McNally is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He has extensive experience in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. Mr. McNally has tried well over 200 jury trials to verdict and has successfully represented corporate clients as lead counsel in jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations and mediations in state and federal courts. Mr. McNally represents both individual and business interests in the areas in which he concentrates his practice. He has been awarded an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest rating given to practicing attorneys.

Mr. McNally has been a practicing attorney for 30 years and has developed a broad complex insurance and commercial litigation practice. He currently serves as general counsel to several national and international insurance carriers, and also represents numerous corporations, insurance brokers, freight forwarders, cargo handlers, distributors, shippers, jewelers, and television shows. Mr. McNally's practice focuses upon international transactions, automobile and property insurance claims; and extends to the areas of maritime law, jewelers block, coverage issues, legal malpractice, subrogation; and marine and aircraft cargo claims, including matters under the applications of COGSA, Carmack and the Warsaw Convention. His practice also includes all aspects of personal injury and wrongful death litigation.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. McNally was senior counsel with the law firm ASW&M in Coral Gables, Florida and previously, he had established his own civil litigation law firm where he remained as the principal trial attorney for 20 years handling the firm's most prominent clients. He began his legal career as a junior partner for the liability defense firm of Blackwell, Walker, Gray, Powers, Flick & Hoehl in Miami, Florida.

Mr. McNally is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Florida and Maryland. He is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. McNally is also a member of the Maryland Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, Coral Gables Bar Association, Maritime Law Association, and National Association for Subrogation Professionals.

Mr. McNally received his Juris Doctor in 1980 from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in 1977 with a dual degree in history and political science.
