Clarissa started her career as a criminal prosecutor at the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to this experience, she participated at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and multiple high-ranking judicial internships all over Texas. During that time, she handled thousands of cases ranging from DWIs to murders.
Her background in criminal law cases includes serving as an Assistant District Attorney for eight years and handling misdemeanors and felony cases. Moreover, she acquired invaluable insights in family law matters involving child protective services (CPS) from her time as a representative of the Department of Family and Protective Services in Bexar County, San Antonio. She now uses this experience to build a solid defense for her clients, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the prosecutor’s office.
