James Mills III

Highly motivated litigation lawyer with broad-based experience in both entrepreneurial and law firm environments. Extensive experience in civil litigation involving plaintiff and defense catastrophic personal injury and death, business-to-business disputes, employment and commercial claims involving individuals. Accomplished leader known for his organization, focus, ability to work well with people of every level within a firm and for getting the best possible result for his clients.

Represents clients in matters involving civil claims and litigation including those areas of personal injury and wrongful death consisting of auto, motorcycle and truck, construction, medical malpractice, premises liability and product liability. In addition, the firm maintains a strong presence representing clients in a wide range of commercial matters for both businesses and individuals.

Responsible for a major trial caseload involving product liability and negligence cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Served as head of product liability department consisting of three additional attorneys plus four support staff members and was directly responsible for the fee generation of the firm’s largest department.

Served as an assistant superintendent of claims charged with directing policyholders’ liability of workers’ compensation cases. Selected, retained and supervised trial counsel throughout the United States and directed case development.
