Jason Luczak represents the clients of Gimbel, Reilly Guerin & Brown in a variety of practice areas, including criminal litigation, administrative and licensing matters and civil litigation in the state, federal and municipal courts throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. His experience includes arguing cases before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to his skills as a lawyer, Mr. Luczak has also been recognized for his teaching abilities. In 2013, Marquette University Law School named him an adjunct associate professor of law, teaching the trial skills competition course. Under his tutelage the students recently competed in the AAJ Regional Competition in March 2014, and were one of only 16 teams in the Chicago region to advance to the semifinals after the preliminary rounds.
He has been heavily involved with Marquette University throughout his time as a lawyer in Milwaukee, coaching the University’s National Moot Court Competition team, which won the regional competition and advanced to the national finals competition in New York City in 2013. This marked the first time in decades that a team from Marquette advanced to the national finals.
Jason has gained the respect of his colleagues in the legal community, who have recognized him as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2011 and 2012. Additionally, in 2012, he was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of Wisconsin’s Up and Coming Lawyers. He has also distinguished himself as an active member and leader in the bar and is currently the President of the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association (MYLA).
He is a 2008 graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a member of the school’s nationally recognized trial team. At Chicago-Kent, he received CALI Awards for Trial Advocacy I, Legal Writing IV: Criminal Appellate Advocacy, and International Human Rights. Jason also graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University in 2005 with a bachelor of arts in Television News and Political Science, where he was an anchor and reporter for a local PBS station.
In his free time, Jason enjoys running, reading and taking in the eclectic Milwaukee concert scene.
