Jason Kropf

Jason brings over 20 years of trial experience and public service to his work as a personal injury attorney with High Desert Law. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Bend Park and Recreation District, working to protect and provide access to our open spaces; and from 2012 to 2020, he served on the board of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Central Oregon. In 2020, he was honored to be elected to serve as State Representative for House District 54 in Bend.

Jason’s previous legal service as a public defender and Deschutes County Deputy District Attorney gave him firsthand experience with both sides of the justice system - driving home the way that our laws impact the lives of Oregonians every day.

Jason is an experienced trial attorney with over 20 years of fighting for justice in our courtrooms. Early in his career, he served as a public defender in Multnomah and Deschutes County, and then served 15 years as a Deputy District Attorney in Deschutes County. Much of Jason’s work has involved standing up for children who have been subjected to abuse and neglect and survivors of domestic violence. Jason knows how important each case is and how much of a difference it makes to have an experienced attorney by your side.

A 4th generation Oregonian, Jason has been fortunate enough to call Bend his home since 2003. His commitment to the legal profession and Central Oregon have led him to serve on the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Central Oregon board helping children in crisis and working to protect and provide access to our open spaces on the Bend Park and Recreation Board. Jason has served as an elected member of the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates and currently serves as State Representative for House District 54 in Bend.

Jason is a proud product of Oregon public education. After finishing his high school education at Molalla Union High School, he went on to do his undergraduate work at Oregon State University. In 1996, he graduated from University of Oregon School of Law.
