Peter J. McCaffrey

"Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking." - Marcus Aurelius, Roman EmperorPeter McCaffrey was raised in Ithaca, a small town in upstate New York. In high school, he captained the football, baseball and track teams, and spent his winters shoveling the massive amounts of snow Ithaca gets every year. After he graduated from college, Pete sought an escape from East Coast winters, so pursued a life-long dream and moved to Madrid, Spain. He soon found a job teaching English to children at a primary school and eventually moved his way up to teaching executives at the corporate headquarters of one of the largest banks in Spain. During his free time, he ate much tapas and traveled throughout Europe.

After teaching for several years, Mr. McCaffrey was looking for a new challenge. Born the son of an attorney, Pete always had a passion for advocating for the rights of those who had been victimized by the wrongful acts of others and needed help. He pursued law school and attended California Western School of Law, graduating in 2009.

After graduating, Mr. McCaffrey joined a law firm in the Sacramento area where he represented individual consumers against large corporations. For several years, he fought against auto dealerships and vehicle manufacturers who sold defective "lemon" cars to unsuspecting members of the general public, helping hundreds of clients get the justice they deserved.

In 2014, Pete decided to relocate to Denver where he joined Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C. He now focuses his practice on personal injury cases. Mr. McCaffrey has honed his litigation skills by representing clients in numerous depositions and mediations and negotiated over 350 settlements, including several six figure settlements. More importantly, he committed himself to putting his clients at the center of his law practice.

In college, Pete played on the varsity football team and still enjoys playing flag football on the weekends, even though his foot speed seems to get slower every year. He also enjoys skiing and hiking in the mountains.
