Daryl J. Sinkule is a Member-Attorney at Kilgore & Kilgore PLLC. He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and focuses his law practice on employment law civil litigation in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings. Mr. Sinkule has handled a number of cases-across the State of Texas and the nation-involving wage and hour issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act, successfully representing numerous employees against their current and/or former employers in recovering unpaid wages and overtime wages. He also represents both employees and employers in matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other employment-related federal and state statutes. Additionally, he represents individuals, executives, and employers in negotiating employment contracts and severance agreements, and before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission.
A graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Houston Law Center, Mr. Sinkule is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Fifth Circuits, and all Texas state courts. He is an active member of professional organizations, including the Dallas Bar Association, He is a panel member of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Labor and Employment Law, which evaluates candidates for Board certification. He is also a member of the Houston Bar Association, the Labor & Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and both the Houston and national chapters of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Between 2009 and 2012, Mr. Sinkule served on the Labor & Employment Law Section Council of the Houston Bar Association, where he co-chaired the Section's Scholarships/Grants Committee. Mr. Sinkule also formerly served on the Lawyers Against Waste Committee of the Houston Bar Association. In 2009, Mr. Sinkule was named a "Professional on the Fast Track" by H Texas magazine, and in 2013 and 2014, H Texas magazine named Mr. Sinkule one of "Houston's Top Lawyers." Moreover, each year between 2006 and 2013, Mr. Sinkule received the honor of being named a Texas Rising Star® by Law & Politics and the publishers of Texas Monthly magazine, and each year between 2013 and 2015, Mr. Sinkule was named a Super Lawyer® by Law & Politics and the publishers of Texas Monthly magazine. Finally, each year between 2013 and 2015, Houstonia magazine named Mr. Sinkule to its "Top Lawyers" list.
