Jerrold "Jim" Moss is Special Counsel to the firm. His practice is focused in the areas of civil litigation and commercial transactions, and he also offers general counseling to individual clients. His clients have included advertising agencies, condominium associations, artists and arts organizations, medical providers and law firms.
He has served as president and vice president of the Society Hill Civic Association, and as president and currently is vice president of the Society Hill Towers Owners Association. In past years he was a member of the Boards of Directors of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Associations.
Mr. Moss served on the Cheltenham (PA). Zoning Board and was president of the Government Study Commission that created the Cheltenham Home Rule Charter. Before joining Astor Weiss, he had chaired the litigation department at Rubin Quinn Moss & Patterson.
Currently, Mr. Moss is pro-bono Counsel and serves on the executive committee of the Central Delaware Advocacy Group which monitors the development of the Delaware River waterfront, having originally been appointed to the Mayor's Advisory Group that developed the waterfront's master plan.
