Richard E. Walker concentrates his practice on defending person's accused of DWI and other crimes. Richard also has a great deal of knowledge and experience in creating Gun Trusts for gun owners.
Mr. Walker served as a police officer from 1998 to 2013, and was a member of the St. Charles County DWI Task Force for the majority of that time. During his police career he arrested approximately 1000 impaired drivers. During that time, Richard received extensive training in DWI/DUI Enforcement, Motor Vehicle, Commercial Motor Vehicle, and Motorcycle Accident Reconstruction, Sobriety Checkpoint Supervision, and Field Training. He was a Drug Recognition Expert and Instructor (DRE) as well as a DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor. Richard's experience in these areas provides him with the very unique ability to evaluate the performance of police officers when conducting police investigations and to effectively cross-examine police officers during trial.
Richard graduated cum laude from Lindenwood University. He worked his way through law school while serving as a full time police officer. Mr. Walker is a graduate of St. Louis University School of Law. He is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Richard served in the US Army. He was a graduate of the U.S. Army JFK Special Warfare Center and School for Psychological Operations, Fort Bragg, NC. Richard later left the Army after receiving a medical discharge (honorable). Richard's interests include riding his motorcycle, reading, and spending time with his wife and two children.
