David B. Wieland was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. He received his Bachelor's in Finance from Florida State University and graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University's College of Law in 2014.
After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2014, Mr. Wieland initially began his practice in the Sarasota and Bradenton area. During that time, Mr. Wieland represented injured workers in their workers' compensation claims as well as injured parties in Personal Injury and Social Security Disability claims. Upon moving back to Orlando, Mr. Wieland worked for a multi-state firm representing some of the largest insurance companies and employers in Florida focusing solely on defending workers' compensation claims. His experience in defending employers and their carriers allowed Mr. Wieland to gain valuable insight as to how insurance companies and employers perceive and evaluate workers' compensation claims.
Mr. Wieland decided to utilize his experience and knowledge from defending workers' compensation claims to join Morgan & Morgan and return back to exclusively representing and fighting for the rights of injured workers. Mr. Wieland was named one of the Top Injured Workers' Attorneys by the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG) for 2016 and 2017. He is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, and The Judge William Wieland American Inn of Court.
When not in the office, Mr. Wieland volunteers with Give Kids the World and enjoys spending time on the water taking advantage of our local lakes and beaches, as well as spending time with his rescue dogs.
