      Biography

Although my family may disagree, I did not become an attorney because I like to argue. I went to law school with the initial goal of becoming a child advocate.

My first position after graduation was as staff attorney for the New York City Administration for Children’s Services. There, I prosecuted child abuse and neglect cases which was emotionally draining. So, after two and a half years I switched to practicing matrimonial and family law. Quickly learning that that too was also emotionally grueling, I switched gears, taking a position at the Office of the New York State Attorney General as an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Bureau. For ten years, I defended multiple State agencies in legal matters including administrative proceedings; Title VII and ADA employment discrimination; 42 U.S.C.S. §1983 proceedings and in other federal and state constitutional and statutory law issues. I litigated and won jury trials in Federal court and argued at the New York State Appellate Division, First Department.

I moved to Fairfield, Connecticut in 2008 and took time off to be with my two sons. I re-entered the profession in 2014, taking an associate’s position at a boutique law firm that specialized in a multitude of legal areas. There, I worked on various matters including the defense of workers’ compensation cases. In 2018, I was lucky enough to join Miller Rosnick where my primary focus is on workers’ compensation and personal injury matters.

Being a lawyer has allowed me to hone in on my problem solving skills. I love getting to know my clients and helping them solve their problems while getting the finest possible results. I pride myself on being a fierce advocate and always having the interests of my clients as a number one priority.

Besides working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kenny, and two sons, Zachary and Alex. I love to travel, read, write and exercise. I am involved in the local Jewish community serving as co-chair for the Federation of Jewish Philanthropy after sitting on that board of directors for many years.
