Mr. Panitch is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School from where he graduated in the top ten percent of his class. He was awarded the Philadelphia Trial Lawyer's Award for outstanding achievement in trial advocacy and he was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Mr. Panitch is actively involved with the University of Pennsylvania's alumni groups and he previously was the Vice President of the Penn Club of Central NJ and a former co-chair of the University of Pennsylvania Law School's New Jersey Alumni Club. He currently is involved with the University of Pennsylvania's Secondary School Committee for which he interviews students who are seeking admission to the University of Pennsylvania's various undergraduate programs.
Mr. Panitch has diverse experience in multiple facets of litigation including serious personal injury matters, employment discrimination, complex civil litigation, family law and chancery litigation. He has been involved in high profile cases against the Morris County and Union County Sheriff's Department and he has successfully litigated against numerous large corporations including Sprint, Continental Airlines, ATT, Old Navy, Comcast and many others.
Mr. Panitch interned for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter, Judge of the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and he has been associated with the law firms of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, Wolff & Samson and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Mr. Panitch was a founding member of the law firm of Panitch & Rachinsky, LLC prior to joining the Law Offices of Herbert I. Ellis, P.C. in Freehold, New Jersey.
Mr. Panitch is actively involved in the community and with numerous Bar Associations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Raritan Valley and he is active in their charitable endeavors. He previously was the Social Action Chairperson at Adath Shalom Synagogue in Morris County. He also taught law at Sussex Community College as an Adjunct Professor. Mr. Panitch participates in numerous Bar Association activities and he is an active member of New Jersey's Association for Justice.
