Robert Boyers is a civil trial lawyer who specializes in cases involving catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability cases. Following his graduation from the Emory University School of Law in 1990, Mr. Boyers began his legal career as a trial lawyer in New York City where he practiced law with a prominent civil trial firm in Manhattan. He also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, New York and was appointed a Special Prosecutor in Kings County, NY (Brooklyn) to oversee the investigation of a high-profile officer-involved fatal shooting case. He has devoted his legal career to the pursuit of justice and to holding wrongdoers accountable for the harm that they cause.
Mr. Boyers is a frequent author and lecturer on civil trial matters.He is also a Past-President of the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association and served as a past-Director of the Florida Justice Association and the Dade County Bar Association.In 2016, he completed a three-year term as Chair of Florida Bar Grievance Committee “D” for the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Mr. Boyers presently sits on the Civil Rights Committee of the Anti-defamation League and is an active member of the Miami Dade Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Justice Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to the state bars of Florida, New York and Connecticut and is admitted to practice in the federal courts of New York and Florida.
