John is a founding partner of BISNAR & CHASE. He is the visionary of the firm and the creator of the firm's mission and vision. John blends and empowers the staff into a cohesive group of focused skilled professionals who are regularly exceeding their previously perceived limitations, individually and collectively. He is a man of integrity and depth, continually seeking wisdom, justice and betterment for himself, his family, the firm, their clients, their community and mankind as a whole. John is a native of Southern California and served active duty in the US Army in the Pacific and South East Asia from 1968 to 1970. He graduated cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, with a B.S. Degree in Finance/Investments in 1974. John was on the Dean's List every semester. In 1978 John received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. Later he graduated from Pepperdine University College of Trial Advocacy. John was admitted to the California State Bar in July 1978. The law firm of Bisnar & Associates was founded in 1978 and thus began the career of victories and milestones that John would create. John began Judge Pro-Tem work in the California State Courts in 1984. He won his first Million Dollar case in 1986. He was named "Community Hero" by The United Way, Orange County, California in 1996 and was chosen in that same year to be an Olympic Torch carrier. Today, John continues to positively contribute to his community and colleagues. He is a certified leader and workshop facilitator with The ManKind Project (http://www.mkp.com), an international organization committed to the initiation, training, and healing of men. The organization teaches interpersonal relationship skills in an interactive workshop environment. John credits the ManKind Project with making available to him the tools and environment for some of his greatest personal growth. In return he devotes hundreds of hours of volunteer time to the organization each year in order to pass on the gifts that he received to the "next man". John has lectured at local colleges and universities and regularly gives classes and lectures on the causes, effects and recovery from childhood abuse. From his background of studying, developing and exercising methods of communication and experiencing many aspects of human behavior, John teaches how to build interpersonal relationship skills as well as how to negotiate - valuable and unique assets for an attorney in his field. John is a former member of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of various businesses, non-profit and religious organizations. John is a devoted father and in addition to his thriving practice, he is committed to his three children. They enjoy 'negotiating' the ski slopes together, the kids on boards and Dad on skis. John makes his personal well being a priority in order to be the best for those around him. He also takes the time to practice meditation and yoga and to travel the globe with his family, discovering and learning as much about the rest of the world and its wonders as possible.
