Rob Huth graduated in 1981 from L'Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township. He attended Murray State University (B.S. 1985 and chosen "Outstanding Student Leader" on campus by Faculty) and received his Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law (cum laude) in 1989. (State Bar of Michigan member since 1989). At the Detroit College of Law, Mr. Huth wrote for the Law Review. Mr. Huth was ranked first academically in his class when he accepted an offer to join the Detroit location of Dykema-Gossett in 1988. From 1988 until 1992, Mr. Huth served as a Harrison Township Trustee. In August of 1992 he joined Robert Kirk in private practice. He then served as a member of the Shelby Township Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Huth has been appointed by the Attorney General as a Macomb County Public Administrator and Special Assistant Attorney General. Mr. Huth is a member of the Municipal Law Section of the Michigan Bar Association. He has served as Shelby Township Attorney for more than six years and Harrison Township Attorney since 2006. His expertise is in municipal matters relating to litigation, ordinance drafting and misdemeanor prosecutions and general litigation.
