Backed by a decade of managing complex removal defense, family, and business immigration cases at two of Colorado's leading immigration firms, Emily returned to her native New Hampshire with a commitment to using her skills to serve the immigration law needs of the region's community.She has established herself as one of the State's leading immigration lawyers and frequently represents clients before the Boston Immigration Court and various U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices throughout New England.
Emily has extensive experience representing clients before the Immigration Court (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), USCIS, the Administrative Appeals Office, and at consulates abroad. She frequently presents cases for Cancellation of Removal, Adjustment of Status, Waivers, Asylum, Temporary Protected Status, VAWA, and U visas. Emily also advises non-citizens and their counsel on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions.
In response to growing worksite enforcement actions, Emily represents large and small companies in affirmative and defensive I-9 audits. She also helps companies secure visas for foreign workers.
Emily served as the Chair of the 15,000-member American Immigration Lawyers Association Liaison Committee with the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In her role, Emily traveled quarterly to Washington DC to represent AILA in discussions with the Department of Homeland Security regarding national policies and practices.
Emily often lectures to local and national audiences and has published articles on advanced topics in immigration law. She enjoys mentoring attorneys in complex immigration cases. She is fluent in Spanish.
