Roger W. Damgaard

Roger Damgaard joined the firm in 1984. He concentrates his practice in the area of debtor and creditor bankruptcy and commercial law.

Roger served as a law clerk to the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of South Dakota from 1983 to 1984.

A member of the State Bar of South Dakota and the American Bar Association, Roger served as chairperson on the Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee for South Dakota in 1986, and has served on the State Bar Debtor/Creditor Committee. He was also a member of the State Bar UCC Committee for several years and served as chairperson in 1998 and 1999.

He has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 1993 and has been named to Chambers USA's America's Leading Lawyers for Business in Corporate/Commercial since 2004. Roger is named in "Great Plains Super Lawyers" (published by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine) 2009 in the area of bankruptcy & creditor/debtor.

"South Dakota's Article Nine: A Time for Change," published at 28 South Dakota Law Review 413 was co-authored by Roger in 1983.
