      Biography

Ruby has helped people with injury and wrongful death claims hold corporations, government entities, other wrongdoers, and their insurance companies accountable since 2016. She has represented asbestos victims and their families, sexual assault survivors, and people harmed or killed by medical negligence, government neglect, and construction site mismanagement alongside some of Washington's best trial attorneys, including those here at Bergman Draper Oslund Udo.

Ruby recognizes that people need attorneys during the worst moments of their lives. For that reason, being invited into people's homes and asked to help them take on powerful entities and their insurance companies and make their stories heard is the greatest honor of her life.

Before becoming a lawyer, Ruby worked with the campus sexual assault movement, where she helped sexual assault survivors navigate college campus procedures and make campuses safer. She also taught yoga and worked as a barista, like many Seattle locals. When not at work, Ruby spends time wandering Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood with her very miniature min pin, Pip. She loves watching people share their stories at The Moth, try to do stand-up comedy, and pretend to fall in love on reality television.

      Representative Matters

      - Helped secure over $40 million in restitution on behalf of asbestos victims and their families, including the first plaintiffs' verdict in a premises liability case in Washington history

      - Bird v. Lawless and Construction Systems Management Inc. - negotiated a half million-dollar settlement with purported workplace safety expert who failed to properly cover a hole on landowner's property, which caused the landowner to trip and fall into the hole

      - Wills et al. v. Seattle Children's Hospital - successfully petitioned the Court to apply premises liability law to mold exposure claims brought with the Stritmatter law firm against Seattle Children's Hospital after numerous former patients were sickened or killed by hospital mismanagement

      - Vargas v. Inland Washington et al. - helped litigate brain injury claim against multiple contractors in case that ultimately went before the Washington Supreme Court and expanded the general contractor's liability for personal injuries to workers on the jobsite
