Sandra K. Cassidy practices in HoganWillig’s Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Criminal Defense departments, she brings with her extensive experience as a former criminal prosecutor for the Erie County and Genesee County District Attorney’s office. Ms. Cassidy also served as legal counsel for the famous environmental advocate Erin Brockovich, investigating complaints of chronic cancers in two separate towns in New York, one of which involved the cross-border dumping of illegal toxins.
Prior to joining HoganWillig, Ms. Cassidy also practiced law in the Western New York area for several years under her established law practice.
Ms. Cassidy has a passion for guiding young aspiring lawyers, serving as a professor of Criminal Law and Procedure at Bryant and Stratton College, and has also participated in the publication of several projects including authoring a manual on vaccine litigation entitled: Vaccine Victims, Proving Your Case to the Special Masters. ©
Ms. Cassidy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and graduated from the University of Buffalo Law School Cum Laude, in 1985. In 2002 she became a graduate of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College which accepts only 49 lawyers out of approximately 500 applicants yearly. Ms. Cassidy is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts; the Federal Court Western District of New York; the United States Court of Federal Claims and the United States Supreme Court.
