Sarah Bain Stump

Sarah grew up in Wilson, North Carolina, always knowing she wanted to be a lawyer. From a young age she developed her competitive nature through sports, and with that, her passion to stand up for those who have been underserved or taken advantage of. To that end, in law school, Sarah led Campbell Law's Innocence Project chapter, where she was able to review convictions and advocate for the wrongfully accused in her home state. She was honored to accept the Pro Bono Publico award for her graduating class, signifying the highest number of hours of volunteer legal work performed amongst her peers. She began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Wake County, where she represented hundreds of indigent clients against the state, honing her negotiating skills and trial practice. At Whitley Law Firm, Sarah specializes in Dangerous Drugs & Defective Medical Devices, where she continues to fight for those that have been injured or wronged through no fault of their own. Sarah describes herself as being a fierce advocate with a compassionate ear. "I am here to remove stress from my clients and to help them navigate our complex legal system. After a needless, life-changing injury, I aim to provide some sort of peace and closure for my clients by securing a meaningful result."
