Scott A. Hager is a partner of the Pagel Hager Law Firm. Mr. Hager was born in Linton, North Dakota in 1975 and graduated from LaMoure High School in 1993. He thereafter attended and graduated from the University of North Dakota with honors in 1998, receiving Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree. Upon graduation, Mr. Hager worked for St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND until starting law school in 2001 at the University of North Dakota School of Law. He graduated UND School of Law with distinction in 2004. He was admitted to practice in North Dakota and Minnesota in 2004. Along with admission to various other courts, he had been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota (2004), the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota (2020), and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals (2004). He has also actively practiced in various tribal courts in North Dakota.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Hager was employed as an Associate Attorney with the law firm of Pagel Weikum, PLLP in Bismarck, North Dakota. Between 2004 and 2020 he continued to work in this capacity, actively practicing in both Minnesota and North Dakota and primarily handling personal injury and criminal law cases.
In 2020, Mr. Hager and attorney Rodney E. Pagel opened their own law practice in Bismarck, North Dakota, Pagel Hager Law Firm. The focus of Pagel Hager continues to be civil litigation, focusing on personal injury, family law, criminal law, premises, liability, wills trusts and estate planning, contract disputes, etc., the areas in which both Mr. Hager and Mr. Pagel have spent the majority of their time practicing.
Among other memberships, Mr. Hager is a member of the North Dakota Association of Justice. In his spare time, Scott Hager enjoys spending time with his wife Dana and three children, engaging in outdoor activities including boating, snowboarding, and hiking.
