Kelly Chanfrau concentrates her practice in employment law, wage and hour law, litigation and client counseling. She has successfully handled cases in a variety of substantive areas before both State and Federal Courts in Florida, the EEOC, DOL, OFCCP, DOAH, City Pension Boards, and County Human Resources Boards. She has successfully represented private and public employers of all sizes in a wide variety of industries.
Kelly regularly lectures on labor and employment laws to private and public employers, non-employment lawyers, and in-house counsel across Florida. She has provided and created management and employee training, handbooks and policy building materials to a wide variety of employers, both large and small. She has also written articles for HR Professionals on a variety of important employment related topics.
In 2009, Kelly was elected President of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers.
During law school, Kelly was honored by being chosen by her professors to work as a Teaching Assistant for Stetson's well known Trial Advocacy Program. Prior to attending law school, Kelly interned for the Office of Naval Intelligence in Washington, DC, in its Editorial Department for two years, where she received a "Special Act Award For Exceptional Competence and Devotion to Duty." Kelly also worked for Arnold Worldwide Advertising Agency in Boston, Massachusetts where she was chosen to serve on the Advertising Agency's first Professional Enrichment Program Committee.
