Scott Summers graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2006. While in law school, Scott served as a legal intern for the Gray, Ritter & Graham and Crotzer, Ford, and Ormsby law firms. Following graduation Scott worked as a staff attorney for the Jefferson County Missouri Juvenile Office in Hillsboro, Missouri from 2007-2011 where he tried termination of parental rights cases as well as juvenile deliquency matters. Scott then returned to Columbia to work as the Director of School Laws for the Missouri School Boards' Association where he provided training and legal recommendations for over 350 Missouri public schools. Scott was also a frequent presenter on a variety of school law related topics including First and Fourth Amendment issues, the Missouri Sunshine Law, and School Safety matters. He served as legal counsel for the Missouri Center for Education Safety and provided the mandatory legal training for School Resource Officers. Scott left the School Board's Association in 2020 to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Division for the Missouri Attorney General's Office. He left the AG's office in 2021 to serve as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Boone County, Missouri before joining Rogers | Ehrhardt as a Principal in 2022.
