My 90-year old mother was involved in a car accident that was not her fault and though her injuries did not seem major at the time they significantly disrupted her health and started her on a distinct decline which resulted in her death three months later. Up until that time she had led a very active life and was still very involved in all the lives of her many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After her death, my siblings and I decided to pursue legal action but the first two law firms that we approached were not optimistic about our case and showed very little interest in taking us on at clients. They expressed concerns about my mother’s age and some underlying medical issues that she had before the accident and they did not feel that it would be worth their investment of time to represent us. This led us to Pendergast Law and from our very first contact with them everything changed for the better. Pendergast Law immediately expressed both interest and confidence in our case and they assured us repeatedly that it had merit. They also offered to represent us right away and they were very sympathetic and compassionate and listened intently to all our concerns and requests. I come from a large family and the Pendergast legal team allowed all of us who were interested to attend the briefings on our case and to submit both pictures and testimonials about all the changes that we had observed in our mother after the accident. Over the course of the next few months they kept in regular contact with us to update us on the progress of our case and were very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Approximately eleven months later they contacted us with a settlement offer that they had negotiated that far exceeded our expectations and we happily accepted it. I really can’t say enough positive things about Pendergast Law and I will forever be grateful to them for the kindness and compassion that they showed all of us and for the amazing effort and energy that they put into our case from the first contact to the final settlement.
