Gerald L. Kucia is a resident of Clinton, Mississippi. He is married to Mignon, a professor at Mississippi College, where she teaches communications and public relations. Gerald and Mignon have one child, Jay. The Kucia family attends Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton.
Mr. Kucia graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg where he majored in criminal justice and graduated at the top of his class. After earning his degree at USM, he attended the University of Mississippi School of Law. He graduated in the top ten of his class and served on the editorial board of the Law Review.
While in law school, Mr. Kucia served as an intern at the Mississippi Attorney General's Office where he worked in the Consumer Protection Division. He also worked at the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics where he volunteered in Mississippi's war on drugs. After law school, he served as a law clerk at the Mississippi Supreme Court where he assisted the Court's judges in deciding some of many of the cases important to the citizens of Mississippi.
Mr. Kucia served for eight years as an attorney with the United States Department of Agriculture. Through his hard work, the federal government recovered millions of dollars in bad loans in Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama.
