Shepard P. Lesser was born in West Palm Beach in 1935. After graduating from Palm Beach High in 1953, Shep attended the University of Florida. He graduated with honors in 1957 and earned a B.A. in Political Science. He then attended University of Florida School of Law, graduating Phi Beta Kappa among other honors. He began practicing law with his father Joseph Lesser immediately after admission to the Florida Bar.
Shep continued the Firm's tradition of community involvement. Over the years, he has served as the Vice President of the Gulfstream Council of Boy Scouts of America, President of the Family Services Agency, and was also the President of the local B'nai Brith Chapter. Shep was also very involved with many other organizations, including but not limited to Temple Israel, and the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. Additionally, Shep has been Chairman and a long standing member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association's Speaker's Bureau and frequently lectures on real estate, estate planning and a number of other legal topics.
Shepard Lesser is presently the Firm's Senior Partner and handles the Firm's transactional matters. He concentrates his practice in real estate, probate, wills and trusts and elder law. He also handles contract preparation and review, condominium law and general corporate matters.
