Grant E. McBride attended New York University, where graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Prior to attending law school, he worked in New York City in the theater and television industries. Mr. McBride received his Juris Doctor degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law and graduated summa cum laude in 2011. As a law student, he served as President of the Student Bar Association and Vice President for Administrative Affairs on the Graduate and Professional Student Council. He was also an editor for the Southern Illinois University Law Journal and interned for the Honorable Bruce Stewart, Illinois 5th District Appellate Justice. Mr. McBride published an article in the Southern Illinois University Law Journal entitled Medical Malpractice Insurance in Illinois: Where We've Been and Where We're Going After Lebron v. Gottlieb Memorial Hospital.
Prior to becoming an associate with Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC, Mr. McBride worked as an associate for the firm of Lazega & Johanson, LLC. Mr. McBride is a member of the State Bar of Georgia is admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia. Mr. McBride currently works in the litigation department of the McDonough office.
