Greg Ackerman is a partner in the firm's Orlando office. He practices general insurance defense focusing on personal injury and wrongful death claims in the areas of vehicle negligence, premises and product liability, and construction defects.
Mr. Ackerman is a Central Florida native who earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Law. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Ackerman began his legal career defending juveniles and adults charged with misdemeanors and felonies at the Public Defenders Office for the Fifth and Ninth Judicial Circuits. After gaining valuable trial experience, he began representing law enforcement agencies in personal injury and civil rights actions in both state and federal court. During this time, he practiced extensively in federal court and handled appeals before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Ackerman also worked for a major personal lines insurance carrier as an adjuster on their specialized National Catastrophe Team. He handled a large volume of first party property claims in different parts of the country following various types of natural disasters.
Mr. Ackerman is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
