Spencer Hewell Calahan

Originally from Colorado, Spencer Calahan, J.D. has called Louisiana home for nearly forty years. As managing attorney and founder of the Law Offices of Spencer Calahan Injury Lawyers, Calahan draws on his extensive professional experience and training to provide effective representation for plaintiffs in personal injury cases in Baton Rouge and beyond.

Calahan graduated with a BS in Psychology from Louisiana State University, with minors in both business and biology. Later, he would go on to earn his JD from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans.

After completing his studies, Calahan started out working in the field of insurance defense—something that gave him a front-row ticket to the spectacle of untoward tactics that insurance companies often employ to devalue accident victims’ claims. Armed with that knowledge, he went on to found Spencer Calahan Injury Lawyers in order to leverage his unique perspective in the benefit of personal injury plaintiffs in Louisiana.

As an FAA licensed commercial pilot with an Instrument rating, Calahan is also fully equipped to travel the country to meet with clients on short-notice.

He enjoys professional admissions to the Louisiana Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Baton Rouge Bar Association, The American Bar Association, and other organizations. His firm offers services to accident victims throughout the state, and Calahan is fully accredited to practice law in all of Louisiana’s state and federal courts.
