Kristy Candela

Attorney Kristy Candela concentrates her practice in all areas of domestic relations including divorce, paternity, custody, child support, alimony, guardianship, modification, contempt, restraining order, and removal matters. She has extensive experience litigating and negotiating agreements in high-conflict divorce and custody matters, as well as cases involving intricate financial issues, business valuations and high net-worth marital estates.

Kristy joined Kajko, Weisman, & Colasanti, LLP in 2019. Prior to joining the firm, Kristy served as an Associate Attorney at a boutique domestic relations firm in Newton. Before entering private practice, Kristy began her career as a Prosecutor in Family Court for New York City's Administration for Children's Services.

Kristy received her Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra Law School, where she was selected for a Child and Family Advocacy Fellowship. While in law school, Kristy also interned at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, representing indigent clients in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court. Kristy also gained substantial experience representing children in Family Court and Immigration Court as a student attorney for Hofstra's Youth Advocacy Clinic

Not only is Kristy a highly experienced and skilled litigator, but her experiences give Kristy a uniquely insightful understanding of complex family law situations, allowing her to anticipate and prepare for all angles of a case. Kristy recognizes that each client has individual needs, and she enjoys and excels at coming up with creative solutions to ensure the best results for each of her clients.
