Involved in over 100 jury trials and with over three decades of experience, Stephen Crew represents clients throughout the country, in matters of antitrust, class action and civil litigation. Since obtaining the largest antitrust jury verdict in the Pacific Northwest for $84 million, he has focused his career on helping survivors of childhood sexual abuse. As the founding partner of Crew Janci LLP, he takes on institutions of trust such as the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, the Catholic Church, the Mormon Church and the Boy Scouts of America.
An advocate for the rights of everyday people against insurance companies and large corporations, Mr. Crew focuses his law practice on complex commercial litigation, representing victims of childhood sexual abuse, including priest/clergy abuse and Boy Scout abuse. For his commitment to legal ethics and professional accomplishments, he earned the highest peer rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell.
At the University of Oregon in 1974, he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration before attending the Netherlands School of International Business where he earned a degree in International Business in 1973. He then attended Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College where he obtained a Juris Doctor in 1978.
He is a past chair and board member for Network Behavioral Healthcare and Ecunet Housing. From the Senior Law Project, he earned a pro bono award as a volunteer and has volunteered for St. Andrew's Legal Clinic. Mr. Crew has also served as a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Oregon Criminal Justice Council, the Psychiatric Security Review Board and several sections of the Oregon State Bar, the American Bar Association and the Multnomah Bar Association.
