Steven J Ryan

Mr. Ryan practices divorce and family law in all courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, ( B.A. Philosophy 1980) and Syracuse University College of Law, ( J.D. 1985), Mr. Ryan was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1985 and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1986.

Prior to joining Witmer, Karp, Warner & Ryan LLP in January 2006 Mr. Ryan was a member of the Boston law firm of Esdaile, Barrett & Esdaile.

Mr. Ryan has served as Section Counsel for the Legislative Committe of the Boston Bar Association (BBA) and was a member of the Curriculum Advisory Committee for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). A Member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Mr Ryan has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2007, 2008, 2009,2010, 2011 2012 and 2013 editions of Naifeh & Smith's The Best Lawyers in America in the field of Family Law and has received recognition each year since 2004 as one of the top lawyers in Massachusetts in Boston Magazine Law & Politics issue, (Massachusetts and New England Super Lawyers, (2004, thru 2012).

Mr. Ryan has published many articles in the area of divorce and family law and is a frequent lecturer for the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and Boston area law schools.
