Ms. Hager received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in American civilization from Brown University in 1989. That same year, she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Scholastic Society. After working in various positions at the law firm of Smith, Murphy & Schoepperle, Ms. Hager enrolled at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1997. While in law school, Ms. Hager was a research assistant for Professor John Henry Schlegel and assisted him in organizing and editing "A History of the Walter E. Meyer Research Institute of Law" by David F. Cavers.
Ms. Hager is a member of the Erie County, New York State, and the American Bar Associations. She is experienced in handling a wide range of discovery matters in civil litigation insurance defense. She has extensive experience in the research and writing of discovery, trial, and post-trial motions, as well as appellate motions and briefs. She has successfully argued matters in various New York courts and before the Appellate Division, Fourth Department.
